Shield Release is a surface-treated, flux-calcined diatomaceous earth product designed for use as a high-temperature release agent in the manufacture of automotive safety glass. It has excellent dispersion properties which allow it to be applied uniformly in a very thin film to the glass surface. Shield Release is typically applied using a low pressure air spray. This product significantly reduces problems of distortion and separation when compared with other release agents.
